AM’s Helping Hands is a one-stop resource for individuals who are interested in starting or building a fulfilling career that uses one’s strengths and abilities. The team at AM’s Helping Hands works with recent college graduates, individuals considering a career change, and individuals who are reentering the workforce. The team prepares individuals for interviews, assists with the job search, and provides guidance throughout the process. We offer a variety of workshops and one-on-one consultations which include the following: Transferable Skills Workshop, Strong Interest Inventory® Assessment Workshop, Mock Interview Workshop, and Resume Consultation.
HR INVESTIGATION TRAINING
The EEOC requires that employers receiving a complaint to “investigate promptly and thoroughly, take immediate and appropriate corrective action by doing whatever is necessary to end the harassment, make the victim whole by restoring lost employment benefits or opportunities, and prevent the misconduct from recurring”. Do you know how to conduct an investigation? The Helping Hand provides HR investigation training that will benefit HR professionals or line management with conducting investigations. During the workshop you will learn a step-by step approach for conducting investigations.

Mock Interview Prep
Restart your career by defining your transferable skills to land your next position internally or externally. The Helping Hand offers mock interview prep. In the interview prep meetings, you will learn how to better market yourself in your current job during a job search and for future jobs. All participants will have the opportunity to practice and prepare for an interview and receive feedback from HR Professionals. You will learn how to better market yourself in your current job, during a job search and for future jobs. We know that your interview skills can be perfected with practice in an environment similar to an actual interview.
Employee Relations Consulting/Conflict Resolution
Employee relations issues stem from various aspects of employment and labor law. Legal issues such as workplace harassment, discrimination and equal opportunity are among the employee relations issues employers must face. Employers are obligated to investigate harassment and discrimination allegations in the workplace and provide a possible remedy to the situation. In addition, conflicts often arise in the workplace between co-workers, as well as between employees and managers. The Helping Hand can assist when disputes occur and ensure that you have the necessary procedures in place for resolution while maintaining an optimal working environment and working relationships.
Angela’s Story
Angela E. Menefee received a B.A. Juvenile Justice and Human Development & Family Life from the University of Kansas, and a M.A. in Human Resources Development from Webster University in St. Louis Missouri. She has received mediation training from the University of North Texas. She has extensive experience working in human resources and employee relations positions throughout the years. Her areas of expertise include employee relations, conflict resolution, training and career development. Ms. Menefee’s professional background includes over 20 years in Human Resources. She is qualified to train leaders and employees on topics such as sexual harassment, hostile work environment, quid pro quo, Title VII, wrongful discharge and retaliation
